Privacy policy
This privacy policy describes how personal data is processed when you visit the website patrikbreeck.com.
1. Controller
The controller within the meaning of Art. 4(7) of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is:
Patrik BreeckSchleißheimer Straße 21
85748 Garching
Email: pab@patrikbreeck.de
2. Hosting and server logs
The website runs on a server operated by netcup GmbH, Karlsruhe, in Germany, which processes data on behalf of the controller (Art. 28 GDPR). To deliver the website to your browser, the server processes the IP address of your device, the date and time of the request and the address requested (URL).
The server does not record requests. Only if an error occurs while a page is being delivered does it store an error entry containing the IP address, the time and the address requested; these entries are deleted after 14 days.
The purposes are delivering the website and finding errors. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; the legitimate interest lies in these purposes.
3. No cookies, no tracking
The website sets no cookies and uses no analytics, advertising or tracking services. All files, including the fonts, are served by the website's own server; nothing is loaded from other providers.
4. Storage in your browser
If you choose a look for the website (light, dark, or red and gold) or change the companions (the pixel figures on the home and apps pages: which of them appear and how they look), your choice is saved in your browser's local storage, so that it is kept for your next visit. Whether the companions move, stand still or are hidden is kept only for the current visit, in your browser's session storage, which the browser deletes when you close the tab. This information stays on your device and is not sent to the server. Saving it is strictly necessary for these functions, which you use on your own initiative (§ 25(2) no. 2 TDDDG). You can delete it at any time in your browser's settings; "Start over" in the companions menu deletes the companions' part.
5. Links to other websites
The website links to LinkedIn, GitHub, the demos at aresium.de and www.ares-empire.de and the contact forms at www.ares-empire.de and aresium.de. Data is only transmitted to these websites when you follow a link; from then on, the privacy policy of the respective provider applies, for the contact forms the privacy policy of www.ares-empire.de.
6. Your rights
You have the right to
- access the data stored about you (Art. 15 GDPR),
- rectification of inaccurate data (Art. 16 GDPR),
- erasure (Art. 17 GDPR),
- restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR),
- data portability (Art. 20 GDPR).
Right to object: where processing is based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, you may object to it at any time on grounds relating to your particular situation (Art. 21 GDPR).
To exercise these rights, an email to pab@patrikbreeck.de is sufficient.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR). The authority responsible for the controller is the Bayerisches Landesamt für Datenschutzaufsicht (BayLDA), Promenade 18, 91522 Ansbach, Germany, www.lda.bayern.de.
7. Automated decisions
No automated decision-making, including profiling (Art. 22 GDPR), takes place.
